Exciting and New for March 2021

What’s New This Month

QuoteToMe News:

App Updates:

  • In-app chat is now available on both the web and mobile apps! Connect directly with the QuoteToMe customer success team for support whenever you need it.
  • You can now preview the PDF file when creating a change order, and choose who to distribute the file to upon creation.
  • Fixed a bug where PO approvals would stall if a job title on the company hierarchy has no members. The PO will now escalate to a higher level on the decision tree if a job title is empty.
  • Updates to the admin area allowing more self-service functionality. Company administrators can now manage preferred suppliers, edit and preview changes to the purchase order template, and easily manage user permissions.
  • The latest release of the mobile app (v 1.8.0) now has a feature specifically designed for in-store purchases. You can create a PO number in advance to give to the clerk at the counter, and close it out after you have the receipt. If you don’t see the In-store purchase icon when you open the mobile app, talk to your company administrator to enable the feature. The “Quick PO” feature is being retired in favour of in-store purchase.
  • Mobile password reset – you can now reset a lost password directly from the mobile app on your phone.

Industry News:

What’s Coming Next

App Updates:

  • Better support for open purchase orders is just around the corners. It will be easy to create and reconcile and open PO for those purchases where you just can’t know the final amount before you need to give the supplier the PO.
  • Data exports and accounting suite plug-ins are the next major feature that is currently in development. This will streamline the accounting process for QuoteToMe customers and allow for direct costs commitments of purchase orders created using the QuoteToMe app.
  • We are building an add-in for Microsoft Outlook. This will allow users to create a one-touch purchase order right from an email!
  • Have an idea for a new feature or improvement? We’d love to hear from you!

Bugs we’re squashing:

  • Certain purchase orders made using the “Create a Purchase Order” feature that exceed the user’s purchasing limit are not being routed correctly for approval.
