Exciting and New for April 2021

What’s New This Month

QuoteToMe News:

  • We are excited to launch the first webinar in our Purchases Best Practices for the Construction Industry series. In this webinar, construction leaders will learn how to decrease transactional spend costs by reducing internal overheads, improving supplier relations, and streamlining payables. Register today to attend the first session on June 2, 2021!

App Updates:

  • Users will now receive notifications to receive orders on the scheduled day of delivery. This will help capture the shipping documents and flag the deliveries that were scheduled to arrive but didn’t.
  • When creating a change order, users are now able to select the distribution list to identify who will receive the updated document. Choose a combination of the supplier, the project team, and accounting.
  • Fixed a bug where certain purchase orders made using the “Create a Purchase Order” feature that exceed the user’s purchasing limit were not being routed correctly for approval.
  • Added a new “scope of work” field to order requests. This allows users to describe services as text when it makes more sense than to break into specific line items.
  • Purchase order documents now include mobile phone numbers for site contacts on the face of the document for quick reference for suppliers.
  • Improved dashboard search – you can now search for orders based on project name or project number!

Industry News:

What’s Coming Next

App Updates:

  • Better support for open purchase orders is just around the corner. This feature will support the case where the price can’t be set up front. We are currently beta testing this feature for user feedback before a broader roll out.
  • Data exports and accounting suite plug-ins are the next major feature that is currently in development. This will streamline the accounting process for QuoteToMe customers and allow for direct costs commitments of purchase orders created using the QuoteToMe app.
  • We are building an add-in for Microsoft Outlook. This will allow users to create a one-touch purchase order right from an email!
  • The QuoteToMe mobile app is getting an upgrade! A new user interface is coming that is cleaner, sharper, and easier to use. Check out a sneak peak of what it’s going to look like:

  • Have an idea for a new feature or improvement? We’d love to hear from you!

Bugs we’re squashing:

  • For rental items entered into the Create a Purchase Order screen, there is a bug that requires all three rental rates (day, month, and week) to be entered in order for the price to calculate correctly for a monthly rental item.
